We’ve some great news for jailbreakers. The Pangu team has just released a jailbreak for iOS 8 – iOS 8.1, making it the first jailbreak released for iOS 8 or later.
According to the website Pangu8 will work with all the iOS 8 – 8.1 compatible devices:
- iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3 and iPad 2
- iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, 1st g

A group of Chinese hackers calling themselves “Pangu Team” released the much awaited untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1 for Mac and Windows. It also works out of the box on iOS 7.1.2.
The Pangu jailbreak is compatible with the following iOS 7.1.2 – iOS 7.1 devices:
- iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4
- iPad Air, Retina iPad mini, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini (1st generation)
- iPod touch 5G
